Outreach Activities at the IUMSC

The IUMSC is committed to outreach activities, and we feel that is our responsibility as a major research and service facility at Indiana University to help advancing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education at all levels. We invite school and college students as well as interested community members to tour our laboratories and learn more about crystallization, crystallography, and X-ray diffraction.

We actively develop award-winning, web-based educational materials in the area of structural chemistry and crystallography, appropriate for various levels of prior knowledge, from the casually interested layperson and the aspiring young scientist to the expert in science or education. We also offer research projects to interested high school and college students.
